Donation Drops is a free community map of places that accept donated goods around Gainesville, Florida. Anyone can browse it. An account lets you save places, submit new ones, log your donations, and join a team.
Keep your password to yourself and use a real email address you can receive mail at — it is the only way to recover your account. You can stop using the app at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Submit locations that genuinely accept donations, with accurate details. Every submission is reviewed by an administrator before it appears on the map, and we may edit, reject, or remove anything inaccurate, abusive, or misleading. Don't submit private homes without permission or use the report button to harass an organization.
Hours, needs, and accepted items change often, and much of this information comes from the community. Call ahead before making a large drop-off. We are not responsible for a wasted trip, a refused donation, or anything that happens at a location.
The values shown in your receipts ledger are your own estimates, assisted by rough fair-market figures and an AI photo scan. They are not appraisals, not tax advice, and not verified by any organization. Confirm anything you intend to claim with the receiving organization and a tax professional.
Points come from the donations you log yourself. Inflating values to climb the leaderboard is grounds for removing your entries or your account.
